In the picture beside this text its two paychecks. The top one is from Target and the bottom one is from my current job Sam's club. Its the most recent paycheck that i received. I chose to show you all how i used positive thinking to obtain my current job and go from being paid pennies to dollars. You can do it if i can.
In the top check i was earning 7.25 a hour from working at target. Being young i was enjoying just having more money then i already had. While i was in school i had sold candy and burned Cd's. That entrepreneur flame lit inside early.
But any how i was working hard and i mean hard. While daily i would come to work on time and give it my all i knew that i deserved better. If you are settling for less then what you deserve now stop. So i had put in an application at Sam's Club.
I was first hired as a temporary associate for the holidays. In my mind i made up that i was not going to just be hired for temporary work. Daily i gave it my all being the best that i could be. Till after while it just came naturally. Not saying that i still don't give it my all.
What motivated me to go the extra mile was a quote that Biggie smalls said. The quote he said was you have to stay hungry, treat everything like its your first as if its your last. You've got to enjoy what you are doing.
But now on to Sam's club i truly enjoy working there no matter how irritated i get. Because if i did not enjoy it i would not be working they're. Meeting entrepreneurs and many other types of people is what people dream of. Also i can get feedback from business ideas that i think of.
So i went from working for 7.25 a hour to working for 10.20 a hour. There was times when i was doing way more then i was paid for. While those times would happen i know that a positive result was going to come from it. What i used to say to myself the sun is going to shine, just keep going and giving it your all.
